Just curious to find out if there is a release in the near future.
We're running into a lot of spammers getting in and would love to get one particular new feature.. CAPTCHA :)
I'm hoping cuz it's getting bad and I'd prefer to not have to migrate to a whole new system just to get CAPTCHA type features. gadds. yuck..

I don't plan on stopping development... but then again, I haven't started on a new version. I have tons of features on my own wishlist but just need time to sit down for a few weeks to implement them all.
I'm also interested in opening the development to others and allowing changes not made by me to get imported into the official release. So if anyone decides to write something such as a CAPTCHA system, definitely submit it for possible inclusion.
I will add one thing. I did notice an influx of spam members on this site and a few others a while back so I turned on the forced e-mail answer option and it has knocked them off. While not as nice as being able to enter a CAPTCHA right in the registration form, it's not too difficult for new members to provide a real e-mail address and answer a verification before being activated.

This is a very old topic, but I decided to update the post to say that I have added Google CAPTCHA to this site as a test run. Google doesn't seem to be super good at blocking all spam, but it seems to slow it down a little bit.
If anyone is interested in instructions on how to implement it, I can send them your way.
